This vintage 1960s set of 8 Libbey Glass OLD FASHIONED SIZE tumblers in the Opera pattern. Opera is an elegant 22K gold medallion pattern with gold rim. The 1968 Libbey catalog describes Opera as this:\"The look and feel of this beautiful new decoration rates top billing because of its unusually heavy embossing and the rich brightness of the gold medallion. The deeply sculptured gold scrollwork is topped by a 22-K bead.\"*These glasses have a heavy base. The gold is glossy and the rim gold is intact. These were made for a relatively short time in only 2 sizes (the taller beverage size, and this, the old fashioned). This is a fun find, and a beautiful set of old fashioneds.MEASUREMENTS: 3 1/4\" tall, holding 9 ounces; old-fashioned size.
