A. A. Milne. Now We Are Six. Illustrated by Ernest Shepard. E. P. Dutton. 1927. First U.S. Edition, first printing. Orange pebble cloth boards stamped in gilt to front and spine. Illustrated endpapers.

Orange cloth retains excellent color. Gilt bright and attractive. Small date (11/2/27) to upper left corner of front endpaper pastedown. Interior clean and tight and bright. Appears unread and unused. A very attractive copy.

The American dust jackets are much more scarce than the wrappers for the British first printings. And they are much more colorful and playful, as seems befitting. The very scarce jacket retains very good color. Chipping to spine head and and top rear edge. Minor chip to corners. Not price-clipped. Spine just a touch faded. Very good +, Very attractive even with faults noted. Very scarce.
