Engine details include: 6 1/2” diameter 8-spoke cast flywheel with a 3/4“ polished face, twin frame-mounted main bearings each with highly detailed adjustable caps and brass oilers, pedestal mounted outboard bearing with oiler. Cylinder details include: a single Russia-iron jacketed cylinder with 1 1/4” diameter bore x 2” stroke, adjustable brass packing-gland with slipper type crosshead guides, center crankshaft driven double-tapered connecting rod with yoke to crosshead, including top mounted brass oil cup with knurled removable threaded cap. Other cylinder details include: side mounted valve-chest with 10 nuts, nickel-plated stepped cover, under-mounted lever-operated condensate valve, adjustable packing gland, valve rod with brass ornate support to base, yoked rod to crankshaft driven adjustable eccentric with oil cup. Final cylinder details include: ornate nickel-plated stepped cylinder head with 6 nuts, rear cylinder head same, twin brass lever-operated condensate valves, valve chest top mounted highly detailed brass throttle valve with piping to boiler, cylinder top mounted ornate double-lever oiler. This Museum Exhibition Grade period model should not be confused with the numerous casting kit steam engines typically offered.


We have not run on steam, though have run the engine on air. The boiler and engine appear to be in fine condition as described in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.


It was demonstrated on steam by its original owner who had a significant collection of steam engines.
