A very nice Satsuma covered jar. The finial to the lid is a dog of foe in the Chinese style. This piece came out of a private collection in New Jersey. There are 3 panels depicting beautifully dressed men,woman and chidren walking through a park where cherry trees are in full blossom. Surroundedby a floral and geometric pattern and encased in a raised gold border. It is in perfect condition other than some minor rubbing to the gilding. Circa 1880 it measures approx.8 1/2 inches high.Signed on baseGood luck and thanks for offerding!
