This is a vintage mask, from the Mossi peoples of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Carved wood with black and red stain and accented with kaolin clay pigment. The mask has a wonderful \"Modern art\" aesthetic and has a wonderful exaggerated style. This is Good African Art!
One of the nicest examples of the style I have offered in my 25 years selling African Art. Mask itself measures 16.25 x 6 inches. Will include a professional custom black metal display stand.
