A 19th Century Domed Italian Octagonal Pavilion Model
Painted and parcel gilt wood. H: 50 in.
Gently restored to its former splendor this decorative all gilt wood pavilion evokes notions of the rural churches of Northern Italy. The byzantine style gilt columns stand on a marble painted base under a likewise marble painted frieze that supports the dome. The top finial could be a later addition.
CONDITION
This piece is in good condition for its age. Please look carefully at all the photos and enlargements.
