An excellent Victorian sterling silver curved whistle vesta case, hall marked in Birmingham in 1898 with the makers mark for A & J Z which is A & J Zimmerman Ltd. Very good quality, excellent chased decoration and a vacant cartouche in the middle ( couple of small dings ). The top fits tightly with virtually no gap and the whistle is very loud. Lovely item and very collectable. Length 8.5cms x 2.4cms and weighs 32.5gms.
