A Superb Antique, Solid Silver, Sugar Sifter Spoon, by Maxfield & Sons, Assay Hallmarked, Sheffield 1897.
This is a beautiful spoon, with a deep gilded bowl, with a mythological pierced design, the stem extending into a splayed leaf topped by a small ball-end. This is an excellent spoon, making it a great collectors piece, or as a lovely christening or wedding gift etc. The spoon is 5\" in length, and the silver weight is: 42g.
This is a fixed priced sale, so no stressful, finger biting sales, just one click to buy with ease.
PS Silver is very difficult tophotograph because it\'s reflection picks up the photographer, hence any tinging.Also, these items are not new, most are over 100 years old, some 200 and over, so will have some defects, unless they had a charmed life.
