$537.22
A very large Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Satsuma Vase made and signed by Gyokuzan with Shimazu family crest above cartouche. Satsuma vase of very nice shape with an overhang of wisteria flowers, leaves and tendrils framing the joyous scene below. Two beautiful ladies and a man holding a large parasol.—their richly enameled garments jewel-like against the vase characteristic sparse, creme crackled ground. This vase is in excellent condition. It has some rubbing of the border to the bottom.
H-30.5 cm W-12 cm. diameter to the base-10 cm. looks more impressive in reality. Photos doesn\'t justify a real beauty of this piece.
