A Very Unusual; No Embossing Glass insulator. In the McDougalds Book, this appears be a; cd 166.2 [020] Variant.This measures; 3 7/8\" Tall x 3 1/4\" Diameter at Base, a Smooth Base, yet Rounded toward the inside of Skirt.
This listing is only for the insulator on Left. The cd 164 McLAUGHLIN-20 on the Right is shown only for comparison.Both may appear somewhat similar looking, but the outer rim of the NO Embossed is much LARGER in DIAMETER.
The cd 164 McLAUGHLIN-20 Upper Rim Diameter measures 2 3/4\", while the NO Embossed is much more Larger.
The NO Embossed Upper Rim & Base both measure 3 1/4\" in Diameter, so it lays perfectly level while on its side\".The NO Embossing has more of a sloped Crown in comparison to the cd 164.
Looking at the photos, you can clearly see this has a pointed diamond \"inside the Pinhole\" at the Dome.
There is a nice Inner Skirt Bubble, a strange factory mold flaw on Dome, and what I also believe is a mold flaw on Skirt, that isvery clean, smooth & shallow + being the total height of the Skirt with a Bubble in its very center.
The last Photo has been \"SUPER MAGNIFIED\" to show a tiny shallow surface chip located at the very Base of the Skirt.
