A Victorian Silver Salver by Martin, Hall and Co. Ltd. London 1882A fine Victorian salver of circular form engraved with foliate garlands surrounding a crested cartouche. The raised and obliquely fluted rim with beaded edge. The whole standing on three shell and scroll form feet.
Marked for London 1882 by Martin, Hall and Co. Ltd.
This is a finely made salver with a well engraved armorial crest depicting a raised right arm grasping a sword emerging from a crown or turret. Beneath is a latin motto: Persevero Deoque Confido which means: \"Persevere and trust in God\".
First class condition with no damage or repairs. Well struck and clear hallmarks. In absolutely original condition. Stands true on a flat surface.
