AMAZING Vintage 1890\'s Pinwheel Ocean Waves Antique Quilt ~NICE BLUE BACKGROUND!
This VIBRANT cotton pinwheel/birds in flight/ocean waves variation quilt is precisely treadle machine pieced and hand quilted, with a deep blue calico background, maroon print border, and variety of rich fabrics from the last quarter of the 19th century.
It measures a generous 80\" X 90\" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small spots on the back and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
There are straight line designs quilted throughout at an even 11-12 stitches to the inch. The back is a white printed response fabric, the hand stitched binding is the same maroon print used in the border, and the batting is thin.The GORGEOUS FABRICS, DYNAMIC DESIGN, and REMARKABLE CONDITION make this 19th century COLLECTOR\'S QUILT stand out ~it would make a terrific wall hanging!
