I am pleased to offer for sale an early 20th century Edwardian 8 day mahogany and inlaid bracket clock
DESCRIPTIONThe rectangular case with arched moulded top,surmounted by brass swing handle,raised on the plinth on brass ogee bracket feet,brass inlaid canted corners,central burr walnut and string box wood inlay, enamel Roman dial with blued steel moon hands covered with convex beveled glass set in brassbezel, the brass twin drum 8 day French movement marked with numbers 1287, 46 striking on a gong,the rear door by brass foliate fret, comes with pendulum marked 1287 and original key.
CONDITIONVery good original condition in working order will need setting up andbalancingonce arrived, no damage or restoration to dial, case with original polish, minimal smallscratch marksand tiny nicks, two small splits forming from nails on the back bottom panel, which is to be expected for a piece of its age.Please study pictures, should you require more details or images please contact me tel: +44 7702 798 386 or email: without handle 28.3 cm, width 20.7 cm, diameter of dial 10.5 cm.
