Guaranteed to be as described -- Antique and very earlyold17th Century ItalianAlbarello pottery drug Jar. The jarhas a wonderful tin glazepolychrome decoration throughout the vessel. The albarello iscirca 1650 to 1680\'s, and a museum worthy example, very rare. The form is of a waisted form with a everted rim on top, the designis hand carved on the middle crest on the tree decoration. On the front the jar is signed with two letters.. a letter \" N \" and a letter \" Q \"... SIZE: 9 1/8 inches high by 4 3/4 inches at the widest part by 3 7/8 inches wide across the top of the rim....CONDITION :Very Goodcondition for it\'s age, there are nocracks or repairs, there is expected wear to the very base from age. There is expectedwear to the rim and glazenicks on the body in a few places as well. All around the foot is just glaze skippingwhich wasdone in the process when the piece was made. Overall this is in remarkable condition considering thisis from the 1600\'s, a true historical and well preserved and well taken care of 17thc albarello, drug jar.
