This is true wrought iron versus mild steel. Note the fibrous quality of the material where a sample was cut and bent. There is paint on the surface of all of the pieces. The material was probably manufactured in Richmond, Virginia and installed as window bars on a building constructed in Petersburg in 1854.
We have multiple lots of this material and can offer pieces as long as 72 inches. Sadly, shipping gets expensive quickly but you can always come and pick it up.6 @ 3/4
