ANTIQUE 1891 LIMOGES FRANCE HUGE TRAY TEAPOT CREAM SUGAR BOWL CUP SAUCER GOLD:

This is a wonderful ELEGANT COIFFE & TOURON LIMOGES FRANCE TEA SET THAT INCLUDES TEAPOT, SUGAR BOWL, CREAM PITCHER, THREE CUPS AND SAUCERS, AND A HUGE SERVING TRAY. The set has an underglaze green mark which was used from 1891-1914. The mark reads \"Limoges France\". All the pieces are hand painted on both sides in a pansy pattern. The part that I like the most is the border which is done in gold and cobalt blue which incorporates a garland of ivy and a heavy gold shaped border. The pansies are vibrant and at the same time very soothing. The handled tray is huge measuring 18 3/8\" x 13 1/8\". The saucer is 4 7/8\" in diameter and the cup is 2 3/8\" tall and has bottom of 2 5/8\" diameter. The sugar bowl is 4 5/8\" wide and 3 5/8\" deep and 4\" tall with lid. The creamer is 5 3/8\" wide from spout to handle and 3\" deep and 4\" tall at handle. The teapot is 9 1/4\" wide from spout to the handle and 4 3/8\" high at handle and 4 1/2\" deep. The teapot is a nice size and holds about 20 ounces. The set is in excellent condition with only a very little occasional missing gold on the top part of some of the design on handles or tray. Very little missing and I challenge you to find it. The teapot has a spider fracture in the very bottom of it. I know these can be repaired but it is on the very bottom where the teapot is marked and you cannot see it when it is resting on the tray. Please, see photo. The rest of the set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The hand painted design is fabulous and the mold design is simple gorgeous. The cups and saucers are lovely with their prolific floral design enhanced by the dark cobalt blue and gold border. See the other pieces of Limoges that I have listed. Email me with any questions.
