Antique sewing tool, one online article suggested this size may be for children...this tool is an estate find from an old sewing box which also has what I think is a small bone child size thimble and other tiny pieces.The size is about 4” as shown.Note: I have heard from an advanced collector of...she tells me that the 19th c. Chinese producers of these sewing tools may have had a skewed sense of the size of European fingers...that these were NOT made for children but for the adult consumers of the ornate sewing boxes they were exporting which contained a variety of these items.
