A very rare, antique, French porcelain & brass Lithophane.

Fresh from an Atlanta estate comes this charming work of art. I say it is rare because it has been hand painted in full color while most others are monochrome. It is also curved, most are flat & it still has the original brass clamp that was used to attach to a candle (I have not been able to find another example with the fittings). It is now safer & more practical to attach it to a small light bulb. Makes a great nightlight. It is a painting of a young woman in a robe smelling a tree blossom. See my other sales for the similar one shown in the last photo.

It measures about 4 1/2\" (11.5 cm.) x 3 7/8\" (10 cm.).
