Antique 19th Century Georgian Egg Cruet set, extremely rare and exceptional piece, the frame standing on three feet, holding six removable egg cups flanking a central salt with swinging handle, each interior richly gilt, the frame also holds six matched spoons, also parcel gilt. Each part - but the spoons - is original and by the same maker; all pieces are Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1802 (G), Maker's mark SGW (Samuel & George Whitford). The spoons are also Hallmarked English silver, London, four spoons are also year 1802 (G), Maker's mark "WEWF" (Eley & Fearn); two matching spoons year 1837 (B), Maker's mark CS (Charles Snow).
Condition
In Great Condition - Just general wear. Few cups' marks are partially rubbed, but is clearly visible that the set is original and bears the same maker's marks (please see pictures).
