Guaranteed to be as described --Antique old late 19th Century original oil painting on canvasby H. Menzel. Please excuse the glare from the light and camera.. as this is a ORIGINAL hand painted oil painting from the late 1800\'s. The subject matter is fantastic .. it is of a interior sceneand to the left is a woman peeling potatoes with a child holding a doll at her side. To theupper right you seen pottery and plates on a shelf. Below is a child in a height chair. A little further is ahanging lamp and below a wooden table. There are SO many things going on in this painting ..this isa FINE and superb Original antique work of art .. painted by H. Menzel..... SIZE:In frame .. 30 1/2 incheswide by about20 3/4 inches high .. the painting canvas itself measures .. 28 inches wide by 18 inches high.. This is more of a American size .. sothis could be a German/American artist and or simply European....CONDITION : Very Good condition, just some expected age related wear overall to the frame. To the right of thelamp.. there maybe a small repair to the paint.. hard to tell.. just mentioning for accuracy. The panting itself has a few scratches here and there.. I count four small light scratches. There is expected age crazing to the paint .. which is typical of a antique original oil painting. Above the baby in the height chair is a scratch. There are a few dimples in a few places in the canvas.. looks like the canvas is buckled .. mainly in theupper right portion. The painted was nailed on to the stretcher and I would say that the frame is not original to the painting BUT compliments the painting well....(see photo\'s )........All items that are sold are sold as is as this is an sale.
