BEAUTIFUL CARNELIAN CARVED NECKLACE - (TA772214T)

This is a 16\" Chinese Export choker with a carved center plaque and carved carnelian beads. The necklace has glass bicone spacer beads and the sterling silver claw setting for the carved piece has a push in clasp attached for easy on and off in the front. The plaque is @ 1-1/2\" end to end x 1\" high. The plaque is hand carved, pierced and depicts leaves and flowers. The carved beads have the Chinese Shou symbol for longevity and are @ 1/2\" at either end graduating to @ 3/8\" around the back / neck. The beads are strung on a double metal chain which may have been apart and re attached on one side. It feels sturdy but new owner may opt to have these great beads re-strung.Weight: 45.9 grams. Overall excellent condition. Approximate age - early 1900\'s - 1920\'s.
