I love this genuine Art Deco period piece - Peking glass is a favourite material ofmine when it comes to costume jewellery.
These Peking glass pieces were made to imitate carved precious or semi precious stones, in particular Jade whichwas extremely popular in the 20’s and 30’s but of course very, very expensive.
Peking glass is as it says – glass and it has been pressed/blowninto a mould to create that “carved” look.
This one is fairly unusual and well made too, set with littlemarcasite stones.
I’m not sure if this is silver or chrome and it’s too fine to testso I will sell it as white metal.
The model in the picture is life-size so it will give you an ideaof the length when worn.
The size/length of the pendant is: 6cm (2 3/8”). The length of thechain including the pendant is just over 14” end to end.
