Description: Impressive and genuine 19th century Bronze Water Buffalo Bell, originating from the Burmese Mandalay period, hand-crafted by indigenous Hill Tribe village blacksmith, cast in home-made lost wax crucibles, and beautifully decorated in traditional Burmese fashion, measuring approximately 4.0 inches (10.16cm) in length. xxxxx The Clonk bell or \"hka-lauk\" is distinctively archaic in style, with its own individual physical characteristics, intricately relief carved in a sprouting floral motif, decorating both sides, with looped-handles used for a rope to pass through, and the original bronze clapper inside for a distinct, loud, and sonorous sound when in pendulous motion.xxxxx A rather large , thick casted bell, with a rich naturally aged chocolate brown oxidized patina, with a light overlayment of green malachite developing on the surface.
