ANTIQUE CHESS SET ENGLISH SUPERB LARGE CARVED PIECES VICTORIAN circa 1850

This very nice quality antique chess set dates from the mid/late 1800s, and I have been told is an English pattern set, but can’t be certain.

AS YOU CAN SEE I START AT 0.99p THIS IN NO WAY REFLECTS THE TRUE VALUE BUT SAVES ME ON LISTING FEES

A very attractive superior quality antique large size, chunky chess set all carved by hand from bovine bone. In very nice original used condition, the white pieces are slightly grubby, but no damage to any pieces, and as photos show displays very nicely. The king measures approximately 4&1/2 inches / 11.5 cm in height, the pawns are 1&1/2 inches / 4 cm in height, and total weight of all pieces is 500 gms.
