ANTIQUE ENGLISH LATE VICTORIAN 18K GOLD BLACK ENAMEL DIAMOND MOURNING RING c1895:

An antique English, solid18 carat gold mourning ring; beautifully made, and decorated with black vitreous enamelling surrounding a sparkling white old mine-cut diamond, reading \'In Memory Of\' to the outer band, and \'Septimus Fletcher, Born 27th May 1842, died Dec. 2nd 1894\' engraved to the inner band.

A terrific quality Victorian mourning ring...collectable & so wearable!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear and some enamel loss commensurate with age and use - see pictures.

DATE/MARKS: English hallmark for B\'ham 1896? (rubbed). Maker\'s marks SS.

DIMENSIONS:Head 8mm diameter, diamond approx. 3.8mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

RING SIZE:T or10 US (not sizeable).

WEIGHT: Approx. 3.9grams.
