The clock is a very nice example at 15.5 inches tall. The bronze casting features cupid with an urn, arrow, and small chick - likely an allegorical scene.
The dial and movement of the clock is marked Lepine a Paris, for Jean-Antoine Lepine.
The clock winds, runs, and strikes, but we have not tested it for accuracy. The clock is in very good overall condition. The condition is consistent with an example of it\'s period, the mid 1800s, and displays the expected wear from age. The feet could be tightened a little. The dial has minor surface wear to the enamel.
