Antique German madeSouvenir, Double PinkPig Fairing \"Boston Baked Beans,\" circa 1890-1910. RARE! Featured in \"This Little Piggy A Celebration of German Porcelain Novelties.\" Measuring 3 1/2\" x 3\" these two pink porcelain pigs are circling a green and white Boston Baked Beans Pot, which is sitting on porcelain ground and grass. (in Germany, the pig is considered lucky and a sign of wealth ). Called Fairings, as these pieces were often handed out as prizes in England fairs and as German souvenirs. This particular pig fairing is in excellent condition with the only losses I have found is fading of the gold gilding around the pots rim. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs of any sort. This would make a fine addition to one\'s collection, it is as I mentioned earlier listed as rare. I wrap & packall my items extremely well and I pay for insurance on items over $50. I do charge a $.75 handling fee to offset the cost of bubble wrap and shipping peanuts. I also extend my shipping discount from for printing my labels to the buyers.
