This sale is for a rare and wonderful early French champleve frame. This gorgeous frame measures 8 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches and the opening is 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. I would date this to 1900 or earlier. It is very heavy, either bronze or very heavy old brass. Everything about it says French, but I cannot find any marks on it anywhere. The old original blue and white paint is cracked and chipped in places, but for me that adds to the charm. So so lovely Please feel free to ask any questions.
