THIS IS A MOST BEAUTIFUL GREEK ICON DATING BACK TO THE 18TH CENTURY

The icon is in very good condition for its age (see detailed photos!). The colours are vivid , the gold halos are a little worn.

The icon is painted on a very heavy hardwood board. There is a written explanation on the back of the icon, written on paper which seems to be from an exhibition catalogue.

The icon comes from northern Greece, most probably Mount Athos area.

I have put a modest reserve price on this antique icon of sacral significanceso that many people might have the chance to win this wonderful icon. I would be glad to give it to someone who can appreciate this religious item.

The size of the icon is 29,0 cm x 40,0 cm. The thicknes of the board is2 cm .
