ANTIQUE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN STERLING SILVER ICON - BIBLE COVER.

Totally amazing painstaking engraving and very unique - I found no others like that for sale. And never seen anything like that before. 

Pictures don\'t do justice - it is extremely beautiful in fact.

Dimensions - 10 inches by 15 1/4 inches of solid sterling silver sheet.

Hallmarks are - 84 with silhouetted head facing left and VO (in Cyrillic - BO), hard to take clear pictures of it because of its size.

Item was purchased in Munich, Germany back in 1993 and was in my possession ever since, stored in safe - never exposed and never offered for sale. This is unique opportunity to obtain this rarity.

Item could be a part of early Bolshevik’s payout to Western Countries after their Revolution happened in 1917 when they ripped off churches and private houses from gold, silver, diamonds and any other valuables.  

In part, holes and rips at the edges are leading to believe that whoever did it didn\'t care about its historical and religious significance.
