19th Century, maybe as old as the 1870\'s

Forged and Cast Iron Hardware

This antique 3-wheeled market cart was probably used by a street vendor in the 19th century. It\'s wooden pieces show its long service history but the cast and forged metal parts show its true age. The metal parts of this unique piece are worth what we are charging for the whole rig! There are two corner pieces in sheet metal, shown in the last picture, that appear to be modern Length: 80\"

Maximum Height with 3 wheels on ground: 45.5\"

It still rolls easily, although the small front wheel is loose.All parts appear to be original with the exception of the parts discussed above. Wood is old and much used, but extremely hard. One cast iron upright in the box has been bent out. Still rolls, although the front small wheel rolls loosely. There is no doubt that this cart has seen much use. Has great patina, however.
