ANTIQUE PORTRAIT MINIATURE LADY DEVONSHIRE signd ALIX SUPERB GILT ORMOLU FRAME

This superb antique miniature portrait dates from the late 19th century/ early 20th century.

A very attractive portrait miniature in water colour/ gouache on thin wafer, it is signed ALIX , also pencilled on back is DEVONSHIRE and a series of numbers. It really is competently painted, with great skill and superb details. It comes in its original mercury gilded brass/ ormolu frame, behind bevelled glass, and can be hung by loop or has easel stand. In very nice original used condition and as photos show displays superbly. It measures approximately 4&1/2 inches/11.5 cm in height, by 3 inches/ 7.5 cm wide.
