This is a gorgeous antique fine bone china TEA CUP, SAUCER and CAKE PLATE TRIO made by Rosenthal, Germany in DONATELLO pattern. All pieces marked on the bottom (please see pics. 9 (cup), 10 (saucer) and 11 (plate)). Features beautiful multicolored POPPIES design on white background. ALL HAND PAINTED. Great example of classic Art Deco (just look at the cup\'s handle - pics. 4-6!) Sponged gold on the rims. The handle is covered with gold completely.
Great condition for the age, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There is some wear to the pattern and gold. The plate is in the best shape, just very light wear of the gold; saucer has some wear to the sponged gold and on one petal of the red poppy; cup has no wear of the pattern, but some wear of the gold, mostly on the side of the handle. Please review the pictures.

The cup is almost 3\" tall and 2-3/8\" across. The saucer is 5-1/2\" in diameter. The plate is 6-1/2\" in diameter. Very elegant trio!
