This vintage early 1900\'s PEERLESS FREEZER is a SALESMAN\'S SAMPLE, which are indeed rare to find, and particularly when they are as complete and well maintained as this item, and is being offered by the family of its original owner! It was used and enjoyed by my grandmother\'s family, with the tales and \"instructions\" being passed down for decades. Over time, this was stored with great care, and thus avoided wear and as the photos display, it is in very good and complete overall condition!
This wonderful piece is made of wood, metal and cast iron. It displays its original paper label, which reads, \"THE PEERLESS FREEZER\" at the top, and \"PEERLESS FREEZER COMPANY WINCHENDON MASS\" along the label\'s bottom. The center displays the logo which shows the freezer amongst what appears to be snow, with a sunrise in the background? The wooden bucket/barrel stands approximately 6.25\" with an top diameter of about 5.25\". As you can see, there are metal strips around the barrel, all of which are complete. The top also displays the PEERLESS name well embossed in raised letters on the metal. The crank is attached and the hook is attached on the barrel\'s opposite side. The parts, also displayed in the photographs, are the top metal piece holding the crank with the opposite side maintaining the piece to secure to the hook on the barrel, the metal container as well as its lid for the ingredients, and the wood and metal \"mixer\". This is a rare and wonderful very old antique piece, particularly in consideration of its complete and well maintained overall condition. It\'s a treasure ! For its 100 plus years of age, it is a remarkable find for any collector or home designer. It would certainly add so much to any primitives, kitchen, salesman sample, or any era antique collection. And it would be a wonderful piece for display in any home. It is truly a gem!
