Samson Mordan flat pencil holder made from solid silver fully marked with the Lion Passant. I cannot make out the year stamp but research has pointed me in the direction of 1898.
The remains of the pencil that sits in the holder is in itself fascinating. HB \'KOH-I-NOOR\' I CAN PLACE THE DATE OF THIS PENCIL FROM 1808 - 1848!
Silver weighs 7 grams without pencil8 grams withCase is 9.6 cm in length and has been chewed at both ends - lid and tip.
