This is a wonderful antique banner of the STAUNTON MILITARY ACADEMY. It was in existence from 1860 until 1976. The banner is very large and is in excellent condition. It has no fading and the colors are very bright. There are no tears or pulls or snags, etc. It is excellent. It is a beautiful piece of history. I assume it was hand made. The gold has been sewn onto the navy background. I tried to picture it in the last photo. The banner measures 26 inches by 57.5 inches. So you can see it is very large.
