Vintage SterlingSilverCanoe Pin Cushion
This delightful little pin cushion in the form of a canoe measures 8.3cm long by 2.8cm high approximately and it has been assayedinChester during 1906 byCornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd.
It weighs 0.71 imperial ounces (20.1 grams) which equates to 0.65 troy ounces although of course this weight will also include the fabric area in the canoe.
Condition wise, there are just the typical light faint minorsurface scuffs andscratches, commensurate with age and use. There areno nasty or obvious dents or dings anywhereto report on the silver areasas far as I can tell. A good polish will further enhance former glory. The pin cushion areas is completely original and unrestored as you can see
