6 1/4 troy oz. - Superb Design - Lovely - VERY UNUSUAL

This is a really stunningANTIQUE solid silver sweetmeat, bonbon basket or christening bowl that was made in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1902 by the illustriousDanish silversmith andjeweller, Arendt Dragsted. It has a beautiful design with a substantial baluster design, is in a lovely circular shapeand sits ona lovelyflatcircular base. It measures5 3/4\" in diameter and stands2 1/4\" high. It is very substantial - it weighs194.6 grams - which is6 1/4troy oz. It is engraved to the base with Julie Sophie Thora Anna Caroline Konow 20 Mai 1902.

It is in very good condition for its age with a little less than the usual surface scratching butfew dingsand dents and NO distortion - SUPERB - but it does need a better clean than I have had time to give it. It is hallmarked to thebase of the bowl with a crown and A. Dragsted Kjobenhavn makers mark, the three towers of Copenhagen over02 and the Simon Groth Stadtsguardein mark(Assay Mastersmark) showing that it was hallmarked in Copenhagen in 1902. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. This is a really super qualityANTIQUEDANISHpiece with a fantastic design and in lovely condition afterover 110years- I\'m afraid that my pictures do not really do it justice!!!
