ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 1888 STERLING SILVER ITALIAN SHELL CAMEO PIN BROOCH
The shell would have been carved in Italy by a master craftsman. The silver Victorian mounting is stamped Lion Passant for Silver, O for 1888 and the Anchor for Birmingham. The Makers mark is G L & Co which represents George Loveridge & Co.
Length 1 3/4\" (Cameo) x 1 1/4\". Overall size including silver mount 2\" x 1 5/8\" approx.
The cameo is raised and more 3D like that the cheaper flat less detailed ones seen. This is really a fine craftsmans piece. Just beautiful.
