This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE PAIR of EARRINGS that was made in the VICTORIAN PERIOD during c1850 - 1880. They are made from 18K GOLD and have 2 OLD STAMPS on the closing wires. These earrings have a WIRE WORK DESIGN and then they are strung with 99 NATURAL PEARLS - one pearl is missing, but is not noticeable. The wire that was used to sew the pearls on has blackened in some areas and the gold on the front of the earrings varies in color from age. The gold on the back of the earrings looks uniform in color. I have not tried to clean these earrings and will leave it to the new owner. PLEASE EXAMINE ALL PHOTOS. The lower portion of the earrings swings freely from the top portion. The earrings are FRONT CLOSING and the total weight is 15.8 grams. They are 2-3/16” long, not including the wire, by 1-1/8” at the widest point. A VERY RARE, ONE OF A KIND PAIR OF EARRINGS.
