ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DESKTOP TRAVELLING POCKET FIGURAL MINIATURE HAT BOX INKWELL :

This is for a fabulous old travelling figural inkwell fashioned as a hat box. It has the original cloth wrap with leather detailing and the metal buckle at the front conceals the button that releases the hinged lid. The inside is richly gilded and has a further lid that is released by the lever at the side. The underside of the inner lid has a sprung leather stopper which seals the glass inkwell when the lid is closed. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere, it really is a prime example, its rare to find any of these novelty inkwells like this in this exemplary condition.
