Anantique English / Scottish, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts, pin itself tests around 9 carat) stickpin; its head modelled as a 3d claw / talon, holding a wonderful lustrousnatural freshwater Scottish river pearl.

Extremely collectable & immensely wearable - a rare a desirable pearl!

CONDITION: All original andvery good. Slight signs of surface / nacre wear to pearl commensurate with age & use, one small hairline just visible. May benefit from a clean.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1860/80. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:Approx. 3 inches long overall, pearl 7.4 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 3.2grams.
