A drop of crimson blood glinting in the sunlight! This high quality antique solid 9 carat rose gold ring has a wide band, ornate shoulders and a halo of claws holding a stunning faceted, deep red almandine garnet.

It dates from around 1890 and isinvery good, fully wearablecondition throughout, with an old sizing visible to the band. It weighs3.0 grams, measures11 mm across the head, the stone measures 8 x 5 mm and its ring size is 8 US / P ½ UK - easily resized one or two sizes either way if needed. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
