Description
The bookends being offered are certainly old and authentic.
Approximately from the 1920’s.
This set is entitled “The Geisha Girl,” as shownacross the back of each piece, in both English and Japanese, which is a niceadded touch.
The backsides also feature a rising sun, which sits above thetitle, and are marked P.B. Co., for Pompeian Bronze.
Pompeian Bronze was knownfor its keen attention to detail, and this set demonstrates that brilliantly.
Both are in good condition with some wear - see pictures for details.
One bookend is missing itsfelt bottom.
Each bookend measures 4 ½” Tall, 4 ¼” Wide and weighs nearly 1.65 lbs.
They would truly make a fine addition to any collection!
