ART DECO DESIGN - Sheffield: James Dixon & Sons - CASED

This is a lovely rare set of six VINTAGE ART DECOsolid sterling silver tea or coffee spoonswhich wasmade in Sheffield, England in 1925 by the famous Victorian silversmiths, James Dixon & Sons at their Cornish Place workshops. This set is in a lovely ART DECO design. Each is4 3/8\" long overall and the bowls measure 1\" wide. Each weighs11.6 grams - making a total weight ofvirtually 2 1/4troy oz. They are NOT engraved.

They are in very good condition with less than the usual surface scratching - see photograph - and, unusually, NO dings or dents and without the usual wear to the leading edges - SUPERB. They are each hallmarked on the reverse of thebowl with J.D&S, crown, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),h showing that they were hallmarked in Sheffield in 1925. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind. They come in ablue leatherette box which is lined with cream silk andpurple velvet - all in good condition but needing attention to a hinge. A very rare ART DECO set of superbVINTAGE spoons after 90 years at a very low start!!! Postage will beFREE within the UK and 4.50GBP to international destinations.
