ART NOUVEAU Deco Vintage COMPO Gesso Picture Frame 5 7/8 x 7 1/2 OVAL c.1910-15:

Here is a gorgeous antique picture frame, made in high reief with compo accents and gesso overlay. The frame is painted a dark gold and brown . The entire frame measures 8 3/4 x 10 3/4 ins., the insert is difficult to measure as I have left the backing on. It looks to be about 5 7/8 x 7 1/2 ins. insert rabbet size. It has an oval front, with an old print inside. The frame is in fair /good as is vintage condition iwth some cracks in the compo accents, some chips off corner edges, but not hardly any re-paint, mostly all original finish. The frame is heavy for its size.
I would date this to the 1910-15 time period. Perfect for Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and 1900s decors.
