Stunning Dirk Van Erp silver on copper serving vessel from the estate of a San Francisco socialite. This impressive piece measures 13\" wide by 17\" long by 2 1/2\" tall on bone feet. Fully marked on the underside \"HAND WROUGHT\", \"DIRK VAN ERP\", \"SAN FRANCISCO\" along with his windmill hallmark. There are scuffs and scratches as one might expect as well as some tarnish and pre-tarnish spotting- but nothing either nasty or embarrassing. I would proudly use this piece in even the finest company. This server is monogrammed \"CRL\", however it is a very handsome applied monogram rather than the typical engraved versions.
