Australian Aboriginal Numbat figure with fine cross hatch decoration.

The numbat (Myrmecobius fasciatus), also known as the banded anteater, marsupial anteater, or walpurti, is a marsupial found in Western Australia. Its diet consists almost exclusively of termites.

It has been hand carved
from one solid piece of timber with exceptional traditional aboriginal design motifs.

This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with very little
losses, chips or wear. This exceptionally fine
example has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.

This exquisite Aboriginal carving measures approx
26 inches in length and 2 in width at its widest.
This solid piece weighs 15 oz/ 425 grams.
