A fine pair of softwood carvings from East Arnhem Land. Both birds are nicely carved and ochred, and have an elegant form. One bird has a crack to the base, the other has an old repair to the head which is hardly visible.( Probably done in making.) Collected early 1970\'s. Both stand 36cms high.
