This is an extremely rare 15x19.5 1864 Civil War Commission Document that has been Personally Signed & Autographed by Abraham Lincoln. It is countersigned by Secretary of War, Edwin M. Stanton. This commission appoints WH Doherty with the rank of Captain as the Assistant Quarter Master of Volunteers. There is 1 vertical fold and 5 horizontal folds. There are water stains on the bottom 3 or so inches with one small perforation about one inch in size. The document is dated July 2, 1864. This item is 100% Authentic to include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) / hologram by PSA/DNA #AA08928.
